Previous hypothermia treatment codes 99481 and 99482 were deleted in 2015, and code 99184 was established to represent a single initiation code for total body or selective head hypothermia treatment of neonates. New code 99184 allows the reporting of initiation of hypothermia treatment in addition to the daily global neonatal and pediatric critical care codes without overlap...
