We reported CPT code 43235 for the EGD and code 43453 for the esophageal dilation. Did we code this correctly? AMA Comment From a CPT coding perspective, separate codes are not required to report the endoscopic procedure (EGD), the subsequent passage of the guide wire, and the subsequent dilation itself.
