Answer: Currently no CPT codes exist for probe-based microscopy. This service should be reported with one of the following unlisted codes 43499, Unlisted procedure, esophagus; 44799, Unlisted procedure, intestine; 47999, Unlisted procedure, biliary tract; or 48999, Unlisted procedure, pancreas, depending on what organ was visualized.
