A 56-year-old patient presents with a history of recurrent low back pain aggravated by prolonged sitting or lying down with referred pain down the leg. The osteopathic physician determines that the patient is experiencing somatic dysfunction in the lumbar spine, involving the sacroiliac joints, with associated muscle tension and fascial restrictions. Treatment was provided for both the left and right sacroiliac joints along with treatment of the sacral base and apex. Would code 98926 be appropriate to report for the four areas of manipulative osteopathic treatment?
