A 74-year-old male with pancreatic mass presented for biopsy. Limited ultrasound evaluation of the pancreas identified a round, hypoechoic mass in the body of pancreas that corresponded to the pancreatic mass identified on a recent diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan. Ultrasound-guided core biopsy of the mass was successfully performed. Can we report an ultrasound guidance separately or is it included in the biopsy code?
