What is the appropriate code to report the placement of a piggyback intraocular lens (IOL) to correct the lens power? The procedure is described by the following: A linear incision was made at the limbus at about 12:00 to 1:00 position and this was carried into the clear cornea. The anterior chamber was entered with a sharp blade at the 2:00 position followed by a 2.7-mm keratome at the 12:00 to 1:00 position. A small amount of viscoe-lastic was injected. An AMO CLR FLX 1.5-diopter IOL was unfolded into the ciliary sulcus and dialed into position, 90E away from previous IOL. Viscoelastic was aspirated. The anterior chamber was filled with balanced salt solu-tion (BSS) to be full. The superior conjunctiva was closed with electrocautery.
