What is the appropriate CPT code to report for the following procedure? The procedure report indicates that the patient has severe narrowing of the right ear canal in an hourglass shape. Our physician makes a 4-quadrant incision, one each at 12 oclock, 3 oclock, 6 oclock, and 9 oclock with a sickle knife. The soft tissue narrowing is released, which widens the ear canal with clear visualization of the tympanic membrane. He then applies a finger-cot dressing into the ear canal. A gloved finger is packed with petrolatum-coated fine mesh gauze to stent the ear canal widely. The external opening of the dressing is closed with 5-0 nylon and stitched to the right tragus.
