What is the appropriate CPT code to report for a colon transit study? The patient swallowed small radiopaque markers on day 1 and returned on days 4 and 7 for a single abdominal view to track the progress of the markers through the intestinal tract. If the radiologist completed only one report on day 7 and included specific sections for the interpretations of images on both days 4 and 7, would this be reported as a single view of the abdomen on both days, ie, days 4 and 7, when each image was taken?
