Is it appropriate to report CPT code 83912 (DELETED IN 2013) with code 87536 (REVISED IN 2013, 2014) for the time and knowledge required to interpret a report and make changes to the patients medication regimen? Before code 87536 was established, an HIV PCR test (human immunodeficiency virus polymerase chain reaction was reported as a panel of five or six codes and code 83912 was one of them.
