Based upon the code descriptors, it is clear that code 36471, Injection of sclerosing solution; multiple veins, same leg, is only to be used when treating leg veins. However, for code 36470, Injection of sclerosing solution; single vein, since there is no mention of "leg" in the description, does this mean that this code (36470) could be assigned when treating a vein in a location other than the leg by a sclerosing solution (eg, arm or head.)?
