It was noted that a laminectomy performed at the levels immediately above and below a laminoplasty is included in the laminoplasty ( 63050 /53051). We understand this to mean that these laminectomies are typically done to support the laminoplasty procedure. However, if a laminectomy or laminotomy is performed on adjacent levels surrounding the laminoplasty specifically to address stenosis at those levels, would it be appropriate to report additional laminectomy ( 63045 , 63048 ) or laminotomy ( 63020 , 63035 ) codes alongside the laminoplasty? ...
