We are treating a cutaneous T-cell lymphoma skin condition, mycosis fungoides, using an excimer laser. CPT code 96920 completely describes the service being performed, but not the condition being treated. Should malignant skin conditions treated with an excimer laser be reported using code 96920 or 96999?
