When reading reports and surveys about America's healthcare system endeavoring to implement ICD-10 and the apparent disparity between large health systems that seem well on their way to implementation by the compliance date of October 2015 and the small practices that are struggling to achieve compliance, I am reminded of my experience teaching at San Diego State University-my alma mater.
