Women are different from men and so are some of the health concerns they face.  Besides having reproductive health needs and issues, women are at higher risk of being diagnosed with certain diseases than men. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), heart disease, cancer, and cerebrovascular diseases (stroke) are the leading causes of death among women.  Every year, National Women's Health Week is celebrated in May, starting on Mother's Day.
