2021 OPPS proposed rule: CMS wants to end the IPO list, move 266 ortho surgeries to outpatient setting

CMS would no longer regulate which services must be performed in the inpatient setting using the inpatient-only (IPO) list, based on a change floated in the proposed 2021 hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) rule on August 4.
