Michigan BCBS to cut E/M pay in half when billed with modifier 25 and minor surgery
The new policy is likely to “disproportionately affect procedural and surgical specialties, as well as medical specialties that routinely perform office-based procedures the same day as a separately identifiable evaluation,” warns the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) in a posting on its website.
