October NCCI edit update focuses on revisions to the July update

Spine surgery practices will be relieved to learn that CMS is deleting the code pairs that bundle laminectomy add-on codes 63052 and 63053 as components of fusion codes 22630-22634 as part of the October 1 update to the National Correct coding Initiative (NCCI) software, not January 1, as the agency previously had stated.
