Question: One of our practices is using a Cast21 product. It is a mesh sleeve that is positioned over the fracture, then gets a resin injected onto the material, which then solidifies. It is waterproof and removable. The company rep tells our practice that the product should be billable with durable medical equipment code L3982 instead of with casting supplies. Would this be appropriate?
