HIPAA: Are You Prepared for HIPAA Audits?

Awareness is outpacing steps toward compliance, says a recent report. Implementing a compliance plan is as critical as creating it. A recent survey indicates that many small practices lag behind in both areas. Some 30 percent of small practices have yet to create a compliance plan, while 54 percent haven’t appointed security or privacy officers, according to a recent survey by practice management software provider NueMD.
