Industry Note: CMS: Stop Balance Billing QMB Patients

If you see qualified Medicare beneficiaries (QMBs) — those patients who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare — then you should remove the phrase “balance billing” from your vocabulary, at least for your QMB patients.
