Industry Notes: Gain Improvement Activity Credits By Participating in MIPS Study

If you or your practice struggled with MACRA's Quality Payment Program (QPP) quality reporting requirements, CMS wants to know. CMS encourages all Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) eligible clinicians to apply to be part of the 2018 Burdens Associated with Reporting Quality Measures study, which was mentioned in the QPP Year 2 final rule. Accepted applicants who successfully complete the program and follow the CMS study guidelines, will "earn full credit for the 2018 MIPS Improvement Activities performance category," notes the agency in a fact sheet on the program.
