Industry Notes: Medicare Adds Non-Skilled Home Care to MA Plans
A change to Medicare Advantage plan structure may benefit home care providers as well as patients.
CMS is proposing to include "non-skilled inhome supports" in Medicare Advantage plans in 2019, the agency says in a release. "We are focused on addressing the specific needs of beneficiaries and providing new flexibilities for Medicare Advantage plans to offer new health-related benefits," CMS Administrator Seema Verma says. "This is a big win for patients."
