Industry Notes: Nursing Home COVID Booster Data Will Now Be on Care Compare

With nursing facilities among the hardest hit by the pandemic, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) aims to offer patients and their families more COVID-19 vaccination transparency. Details: On Feb. 9, CMS announced it would begin posting COVID booster data for both nursing home patients and staff on its Medicare Care Compare site. “The data will show resident and staff booster rates at the facility level and will include national and state averages,” a CMS release says.
