Two school districts in Massachusetts could do more to ensure that their Medicaid claims for school-based health services are in line with federal billing rules, the HHS Office of Inspector General declares in a pair of new reports. Part of an ongoing series on school-based health care, the reports — which deal with schools in Springfield, MA and Holyoke, MA — identified purported problems with documentation, practitioner qualifications and costs incurred when students were absent.
