PHARMACEUTICALS: Demo On Tap For Inhalation Therapy

CMS says program open to providers, doctors, therapy companies.The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is developing a demonstration program for care management and care coordination for inhalation therapy patients. The program will involve physicians, suppliers and other health professionals in determining whether such services have a positive impact on outcomes and reduce overall Medicare spending, the agency says.The demo will seek to obtain the most effective care for Medicare beneficiaries with severe or complex respiratory conditions.
