Your nearest possible choice is for bursectomy of the knee, 27340 (Excision, prepatellar bursa). The femoral bursectomy code is 27062 (Excision; trochanteric bursa or calcification). Before submitting 27340, however, check the details regarding the surgeon's work. If he simply performed incision and drainage, you shouldn't report a bursectomy. Instead, you should report 27301 (Incision and drainage, deep abscess, bursa, or hematoma, thigh or knee region). ...
