Magnetic resonance imaging is one of the fastest growing services for Medicare, and the CCI 10.2 hits two new MRI codes hard. In 2004, CMS introduced codes for MRIs: 70558 (...with contrast materials) and 70559 (...without contrast materials, followed by with contrast materials and further sequences). Now you won't be able to bill either of these codes along with needle or intra-catheter introduction code 36000, flurosocopy codes 76000 and 76003, ultrasonic guidance code 76942, and infusion codes 90780 and 90782-90784. ...
