Flu Shortage May Ease With Glaxo Approval

A little more flu vaccine will be making its way into the U.S. system. The Food and Drug Administration has authorized the use of GlaxoSmithKline's influenza vaccine, Fluarix, under an Investigational New Drug application, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. HHS has agreed to purchase 1.2 million doses of the vaccine.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will distribute the vaccine to communities most in need, HHS adds. ...
