Hemorrhoid Treatment Codes Hit With Unbeatable Edits

Ten digestive surgery codes become components of hemorrhoidopexy code 46947 starting April 1, and you can only use a modifier to override one of those edits. Also, 46947 becomes a component of six other digestive surgery codes, but you can use a modifier on four of those edits. Code 46947 becomes mutually exclusive with 46500 (Introduction of clerosing solution, hemorroids), but you can override that edit with a modifier.
