You have a little more time before you need to worry about the 2 percent sequestration payment adjustment to your Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) claims. Now: On April 14, President Biden signed H.R. 1868, extending the temporary suspension of Medicare sequestration until Dec. 31, 2021. Rewind: The CARES Act first suspended the 2 percent sequestration from May 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2020.
