Physician Notes: CMS Issues RFI on Stark Law Rollbacks

The feds are at it again — this time it’s over revising the Stark Law. CMS published a Request For Information (RFI) on the physician self-referral law, also known as the Stark Law, in the Federal Register. The RFI follows the same path as other recent agency communications, looking specifically at way to improve patient care while cutting down on provider administrative burden.   “We are looking for information and bold ideas on how to change the existing regulations to reduce provider burden and put patients in the driver’s seat,” said CMS Administrator Seema Verma...
