This panel is based on the Thrombelastography (TEG) Hemostasis System 5000 series (Hemoscope Corp). This non-invasive instrument is used to monitor and analyze the coagulation state of a blood sample to assess the patient's clinical hemostasis condition. Coagulation evaluations are often used to assess trauma, organ transplantation cardiac surgery post-operative hemorrhage and/or thrombosis, or other cardiac procedures.
