Program memorandum A-01-97 containing a list of corrected category designations for pass-through devices was recently published on August 8, 2001. All of the C-codes included in this document are used exclusively for services paid under the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and may not be used to bill for services paid under other Medicare payment systems.
