New and deleted HCPCS codes for pathogen-reduced platelets and pathogen testing for platelets

Since January 1, 2018, for Medicare reporting, pathogen reduced platelets and pathogen testing for platelets are appropriately reported with two new HCPCS codes. These new HCPCS code have replaced HCPCS codes Q9987 and Q9988.
