Evacuation of Hematoma using NICO Brainpath® Technology
A patient underwent evacuation of intraparenchymal hemorrhage using NICO BrainPath® technology. A burr hole was created and a circular craniotomy was completed. The bone flap was elevated, a dural incision was completed, and the brain started to gently bulge out. The Mitaka arm was placed and the dedicated Storz exoscope was placed in the desired position. Using the NICO BrainPath® technology, a 60 mm port was gently advanced all the way down to the bottom of the clot. Clot fragments were suctioned and removed.
