Codes from category V86, Occupant of special all-terrain or other off-road motor vehicle, injured in transport accident, have been expanded to differentiate injuries related to 3- or 4- wheeled all-terrain vehicles (ATV), dirt bike or motor/cross bike. The unique external cause codes will help improve injury surveillance and evaluation capability for off-road vehicle injuries.
