Codes G12.23, Primary lateral sclerosis, G12.24, Familial motor neuron disease, and G12.25, Progressive spinal muscle atrophy, have been created to identify these specific types of motor neuron diseases.
Primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) is a disorder of the upper motor neurons that affects the face, arms and legs.
