Spring 2023 pages 5-8 CLINICAL EXAMPLE 1 Computed Tomographic Colonography (CTC)-Screening PROCEDURE Computed Tomographic Colonography-Screening CLINICAL INDICATION A 51-year-old male was seen for screening CTC for malignant neoplasm of colon. No symptoms. TECHNIQUE Prior to the procedure, the patient underwent a standard colonic preparation for CTC. The patient was scanned supine and prone following insufflation of carbon dioxide per rectum. Two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) images were reviewed. Imaging processing with creation of 3D virtual fly-through was performed on an independent workstation.
