Hepatobiliary Scan

Hepatobiliary Scan with Gallbladder Ejection Fraction Clinical History 56-year-old man with right upper-quadrant pain. Procedure Nuclear medicine hepatobiliary scan with gallbladder ejection fraction. Comparison Abdominal ultrasound. Technique A9537 The patient was injected intravenously with 3.2 mCi Tc-99m mebrofenin. Initial arterial flow imaging of the abdomen was followed by dynamic imaging over the course of 90 minutes. 78227 The patient also received 2.3 mcg of cholecystokinin (CCK) administered intravenously beginning 46 minutes after the administration of Tc-99m mebrofenin. Regions of interest were drawn and the gallbladder ejection fraction was measured post-CCK. Findings Subsequent dynamic imaging demonstrates prompt hepatic...
