Left Common and External Iliac Venogram and Intravascular Ultrasound

CLINICAL EXAMPLE 1 Left Common and External Iliac Venogram and Intravascular Ultrasound CLINICAL HISTORY A 71-year-old female presents with left lower extremity swelling, status post bilateral common iliac artery stenting. There is a concern for left common iliac vein compression. TECHNIQUE The diagnosis, treatment plan, procedure, risks and benefits, treatment alternatives, complications, and prognosis with and without treatment were explained to the patient, and informed consent was obtained. The operating physician supervised intravenous moderate (conscious) sedation; fentanyl and Versed were used for 30 minutes.
