CLINICAL EXAMPLE 2 Magnetic Resonance Enterography of the Abdomen and Pelvis CLINICAL HISTORY Active inflammatory disease in the colon. Abdominal pain. TECHNIQUE Magnetic resonance (MR) enterography of the abdomen and pelvis prior to and following contrast administration. This includes coronal ultrafast spin echo sequences, pre- and post-contrast coronal sequences, and a coronal balanced steady-state gradient echo sequence. Images were acquired after the patient ingested barium sulfate suspension 0.1%, and 0.1 mg intravenous (IV) glucagon was also administered.
