We have been asked to elaborate on the changes for organ and disease panels. Earlier volumes of CPT contained a section on organ or disease oriented panels that read: Organ or Disease Oriented Panels Organ "panels" as an approach to diagnosis have been developed in response to the increased use of general screening programs that are now in use in physicians' offices, health centers, clinics, and hospitals.
