Codes 76376 and 76377 were designed to capture two separate levels of physician work and practice expense in 3D rendering: code 76376 requires less physician work and code 76377 requires significantly more physician work. It is not appropriate to report code 76377, if 3D rendering occurs on the same workstation that processes 2D images; however, code 76376 would be appropriate in this situation.
