November 2020 pages 7-9 Reporting Atrial Septostomy for Congenital Cardiac Anomalies For the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2021 code set, three new codes (33741, 33745, 33746) have been established in the Cardiovascular System/Shunting Procedures subsection of the Surgery section to report transcatheter atrial septostomy (TAS) for congenital cardiac anomalies. Introductory guidelines with four parenthetical notes have also been added to provide instruction on the appropriate use of these three new codes. In the Cardiovascular/Other Therapeutic Services and Procedures subsection of the Medicine section, a parenthetical note has been added to reference the deletion of codes 92992 and 92993...
