AMA Comment As stated in the CPT guidelines for Skin Replacement Surgery and Skin Substitutes, "These codes (15000-15431) are not intended to be reported for simple graft application alone or application stabilized with dressings (eg, by simple gauze wrap) without surgical fixation of the skin substitute/graft."
