April 2018 pages 3-6 Updated Endoscopic Nasal/Sinus Surgery Codes for 2018 Important changes have been made to the Respiratory System/Accessory Sinuses/Endoscopy subsection of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2018 code set. Based on utilization data, which indicated separate procedures were reported together more than 75% of the time, new sinus endoscopy codes were created that bundle the work of several procedures. In addition, new introductory guidelines and cross-reference parentheticals were added, several existing codes were revised, and a new code for sphenopalatine artery ligation was created.
