In code 70330, Radiologic examination, tem-poromandibular joint, open and closed mouth; bilateral, the number of views is not specified in the code descriptor. An x-ray report documents that on the same date of service, two views were taken bilaterally while teeth were in the clenched -position; two views while teeth were at rest; two views with teeth partially open; and two separate views while teeth were in an as wide as possible position. How should this study be reported? Is code 70330 billed eight times, four times, or once for the eight views in the open, wide open, closed, and clenched positions bilaterally?
