**KNOWLEDGE BASE EXCLUSIVE** An on-body push injection device is used to administer a chemotherapeutic requiring a subcutaneous push lasting between 10-20 minutes. The on-body injection device is applied in the office by clinical staff under physician supervision. The device is immediately activated by clinical staff, resulting in the needle being placed in the subcutaneous space and controlled administration of the chemotherapeutic, while the patient is still in the office. When the injection is completed, the device is removed by clinical staff and appropriately disposed. Would CPT code 96401 be appropriate for this type of injection?
