If a lab performs a single nucleotide polymorphism test (SNP) that is not one of the tests listed under code 81400 (REVISED IN 2013, 2014), Molecular pathology procedure, Level 1(eg, identification of single germline variant [eg, SNP] by techniques such as restriction enzyme digestion or melt curve analysis), is it okay to report this code?
