How should vaccine administration for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) (coronavirus disease [COVID-19]) be reported when another immunization is also administered? For example, a patient received an influenza vaccine (90686) and during the same encounter also received the booster dose (0034A) of a COVID-19 vaccine product (91303). Would it be appropriate to report code 90471 or code 90472 for the additional vaccine administration?
